Instead of fulfilling my royal destiny by riding off in an enchanted chariot after the investor ball, I was whisked away in the back of a cop car and treated like a wicked stepsister in the scariest place imaginable—the human world.
Mirror Mirror on the wall … who’s my enemy after all?
I’ve trained my entire life to be a princess, but being a prisoner isn’t in my blood.
Will Vail be my white knight, rescuing me after I vanished from his arms? Or am I destined to stay lost forever?
I’m beginning to believe Morningwood is my happily never after.
Rating: 5 stars
Review: This second book in the VILF series (best series name ever!) picks up right where book 1 ended, leaving us yelling obscenities at its cliffhanger ending.

This second book is darker than the first, but it's a necessary evil of this story. This is the low part of Penelope and Vail's story, the despair, the dark before the light. The love story itself moves along nicely, as does the development of Penelope in particular. By the end of this one (which yes, ends on a cliffhanger, but not one that made me want to throat punch someone), Penelope has gone through the necessary transition to become a total badass who's about to serve up some witchy/vampiry justice. And I. Can't. Wait.
If you haven't read this series yet, you are missing out on a witty, engaging story that you won't be able to put down. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
